Al-Lail
سُورَةُ اللَّيۡلِ
The Night · 21 verses · Meccan
1
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ وَٱلَّيْلِ إِذَا يَغْشَىٰ
EN By the night when it covers
FR Par la nuit quand elle enveloppe tout!
ES ¡Por la noche cuando extiende su velo!
2
وَٱلنَّهَارِ إِذَا تَجَلَّىٰ
EN And [by] the day when it appears
FR Par le jour quand il éclaire!
ES ¡Por el día cuando resplandece!
3
وَمَا خَلَقَ ٱلذَّكَرَ وَٱلْأُنثَىٰٓ
EN And [by] He who created the male and female,
FR Et par ce qu'Il a créé, mâle et femelle!
ES ¡Por Quien ha creado al varón y a la hembra!
4
إِنَّ سَعْيَكُمْ لَشَتَّىٰ
EN Indeed, your efforts are diverse.
FR Vos efforts sont divergents.
ES Vuestro esfuerzo, en verdad, da resultados diversos.
5
فَأَمَّا مَنْ أَعْطَىٰ وَٱتَّقَىٰ
EN As for he who gives and fears Allah
FR Celui qui donne et craint (Allah)
ES A quien da, teme a Dios,
6
وَصَدَّقَ بِٱلْحُسْنَىٰ
EN And believes in the best [reward],
FR et déclare véridique la plus belle récompense
ES y cree en lo más bello,
7
فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُۥ لِلْيُسْرَىٰ
EN We will ease him toward ease.
FR Nous lui faciliterons la voie au plus grand bonheur.
ES le facilitaremos el acceso a la mayor felicidad.
8
وَأَمَّا مَنۢ بَخِلَ وَٱسْتَغْنَىٰ
EN But as for he who withholds and considers himself free of need
FR Et quant à celui qui est avare, se dispense (de l'adoration d'Allah),
ES En cambio, a quien es avaro, cree bastarse a sí mismo
9
وَكَذَّبَ بِٱلْحُسْنَىٰ
EN And denies the best [reward],
FR et traite de mensonge la plus belle récompense,
ES y desmiente lo más bello,
10
فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُۥ لِلْعُسْرَىٰ
EN We will ease him toward difficulty.
FR Nous lui faciliterons la voie à la plus grande difficulté,
ES le facilitaremos el acceso a la mayor adversidad,
11
وَمَا يُغْنِى عَنْهُ مَالُهُۥٓ إِذَا تَرَدَّىٰٓ
EN And what will his wealth avail him when he falls?
FR et à rien ne lui serviront ses richesses quand il sera jeté (au Feu).
ES y de nada le servirá su hacienda cuando sea precipitado.
12
إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا لَلْهُدَىٰ
EN Indeed, [incumbent] upon Us is guidance.
FR C'est à Nous, certes, de guider;
ES Sí, es de incumbencia Nuestra la Dirección.
13
وَإِنَّ لَنَا لَلْءَاخِرَةَ وَٱلْأُولَىٰ
EN And indeed, to Us belongs the Hereafter and the first [life].
FR à Nous appartient, certes, la vie dernière et la vie présente.
ES Sí, es cosa Nuestra la otra vida y ésta.
14
فَأَنذَرْتُكُمْ نَارًۭا تَلَظَّىٰ
EN So I have warned you of a Fire which is blazing.
FR Je vous ai donc avertis d'un Feu qui flambe
ES Os he prevenido contra un fuego llameante,
15
لَا يَصْلَىٰهَآ إِلَّا ٱلْأَشْقَى
EN None will [enter to] burn therein except the most wretched one.
FR où ne brûlera que le damné,
ES en el cual sólo arderá el infame,
16
ٱلَّذِى كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّىٰ
EN Who had denied and turned away.
FR qui dément et tourne le dos;
ES que desmiente y se desvía,
17
وَسَيُجَنَّبُهَا ٱلْأَتْقَى
EN But the righteous one will avoid it -
FR alors qu'en sera écarté le pieux,
ES el cual evitará quien de veras teme a Dios,
18
ٱلَّذِى يُؤْتِى مَالَهُۥ يَتَزَكَّىٰ
EN [He] who gives [from] his wealth to purify himself
FR qui donne ses biens pour se purifier
ES que da su hacienda para purificarse,
19
وَمَا لِأَحَدٍ عِندَهُۥ مِن نِّعْمَةٍۢ تُجْزَىٰٓ
EN And not [giving] for anyone who has [done him] a favor to be rewarded
FR et auprès de qui personne ne profite d'un bienfait intéressé,
ES que, cuando hace un favor, no lo hace con ánimo de ser retribuido,
20
إِلَّا ٱبْتِغَآءَ وَجْهِ رَبِّهِ ٱلْأَعْلَىٰ
EN But only seeking the countenance of his Lord, Most High.
FR mais seulement pour la recherche de La Face de son Seigneur le Très Haut.
ES sino tan sólo por deseo de agradar a su altísimo Señor.
21
وَلَسَوْفَ يَرْضَىٰ
EN And he is going to be satisfied.
FR Et certes, il sera bientôt satisfait!
ES ¡Sí, ése quedará satisfecho!
